It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angel Balderas, Jr., 33, of Jacksonville, TX, who left us far too soon on February 13, 2025. Born on December 7, 1991, Angel brought light, joy, and laughter to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He navigated life with a vibrant spirit and an undeniable love for family and sports.

What set Angel apart from everyone else was his infectious smile, sense of humor, and positive outlook on life. He was a steadfast supporter of those around him, offering encouragement no matter the challenge—whether it was a new business venture, school, or simply being a shoulder to cry on. Even while facing his own struggles, Angel mentored many with unwavering kindness, never passing judgment.

A devoted sports enthusiast, Angel was fiercely loyal to his favorite teams, the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Cowboys. His passion for basketball and football was contagious, inspiring countless spirited discussions and celebrations with family and friends. Angel wasn’t just a spectator—he lived and breathed the thrill of the game, bringing an unmatched zeal to every moment spent cheering for his beloved teams.

Angel found joy in life’s simplest pleasures, like raiding his siblings’ fridges for those cherished “good snacks.” His playful antics brought smiles and laughter to everyone around him. Beyond his lightheartedness, Angel enjoyed working alongside his father, Ricardo, and brother, Ricky, on phone towers, demonstrating his dedication to building a better future for his loved ones. He also took immense pride in helping his cousin, Cuate, while working for JISD, where his genuine joy shone through in his interactions with students—especially in the special moments spent with his niece, Joslyn, and nephew, Brent.

Above all, Angel’s greatest achievement was being a father to his two beloved children, Maddy and DD(Malcom). He poured his heart into their lives, instilling in them the values of courage, compassion, and resilience.
