Linder (Linda) Fuller Carpenter was born to James and Verna Dean Fuller on June 1, 1953, in Jacksonville, Texas and transitioned from this walk of life on March 14, 2025. She was the youngest daughter of seven children. Linda attended Fred Douglass High School until desegregation, and ultimately graduating from Jacksonville High School, class of 1971. On February 5, 1971, she married the love of her life, Archie Lee Carpenter. To this union, two children were born, Brian and Delanna.
Linda was a dedicated worker. In her early years, she worked in factories and spent many years employed at Walmart. Later, she became employed with Jacksonville Independent School District (JISD), where she discovered her passion for working with children. She spent many years at East Side Elementary and later at Jacksonville High School. Between her time at JISD, she took her commitment to helping others to ACCESS, where she worked as a caseworker and advocate for individuals with special needs.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Marzella Onwuchekwa and Sarah Lewis, and brothers, Elmer Dean Baxter, and James Fuller, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are, her husband Archie L. Carpenter; daughter Delanna Hollis of Jacksonville, TX, and son Brian Carpenter (Janina Hernandez)of Carrollton, TX; grandsons Chrisgen and Taylohn; and great-grandson Amari; sister Larace (Albert) Warner, brother, Jessie Fuller; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
